Privacy Policy

SetPoint is a tennis score tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. This document explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and how it is protected. The short version: everything stays on your devices.
1. What the app stores (on your devices only)
SetPoint keeps only the data needed for the app to function, and stores all of it locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch:
- Match scores and history. Points, games, sets, results, and records of the matches you track.
- Match statistics and notes. Win rate, streaks, court-type breakdowns, serve stats, and any notes you add to a match.
- App preferences. Match format and similar settings.
2. Phone–watch sync
Your match data syncs between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This sync happens directly between your own paired devices — it never passes through any server, and it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. SetPoint has no server, and we have no access to your match data.
3. Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, SetPoint uses HealthKit for its fitness features:
- Read: heart rate and active energy. Shown live during your matches so you can see your effort in real time.
- Write: tennis workouts. When a match ends, SetPoint can save the workout to Apple Health.
Your health data is used only to display live fitness metrics in the app and to save workouts to Apple Health. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never uploaded to any server. You can grant or revoke HealthKit access at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.
4. Motion data (swing counting)
SetPoint uses the motion sensors on your Apple Watch (CoreMotion) to count your swings during a match. Motion data is processed entirely on the watch, in real time; only the resulting swing count is kept, and nothing is transmitted off your devices.
5. What we never collect
- Accounts or personal details. SetPoint requires no account, no name, no email.
- Location data. Never collected.
- Advertising identifiers. We do not connect to ad networks and never request IDFA or similar tracking IDs.
- Analytics. SetPoint uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and shares no data with third parties.
6. No accounts, no cloud
SetPoint does not require an account and does not sync data to any cloud service. If you delete the app, its data is deleted with it. Workouts you saved to Apple Health remain in the Health app under your control until you delete them there.
7. Purchases (SetPoint Pro)
SetPoint Pro subscriptions are purchased and processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details, and purchase information is not used to track you.
8. Data retention and deletion
All match data lives on your devices and is retained until you delete it. You can clear your match history at any time from the app's settings, or remove everything by deleting the app. Nothing is stored on our side — there is no "our side."
9. Children's privacy
SetPoint does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
10. Updates to this policy
We update this policy when there's a material change. The update date appears at the top of this page.
