By using the BiteSafe app you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully — especially the medical disclaimer.

1. Service ownership

The BiteSafe app is developed and operated by OzTech App Studio (Istanbul, Türkiye). It is distributed through the Apple App Store.

2. Medical disclaimer

BiteSafe is not a medical device. It is a food and symptom tracking and pattern-finding tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The "Trigger Insights", allergen detections, and AI-generated reports use pattern matching and artificial intelligence based on your own logs, and they should never replace professional medical evaluation.

• AI can make mistakes. Ingredient identification, allergen detection, and menu safety checks may be incomplete or wrong. Always verify ingredients yourself before eating.
• Never rely on the app in an emergency. If you or someone in your care has a severe allergic reaction, call your local emergency services immediately.
• Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making dietary changes or medical decisions.

3. Intended use

BiteSafe is designed to help you log meals and symptoms over time, notice patterns, and share summaries with your healthcare provider. It is a personal tracking aid, not a diagnostic tool. Where the app is used to track a child's meals and symptoms, it should be operated by a parent or caregiver.

4. AI features

BiteSafe uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide meal scanning, food analysis, menu analysis, and wellness reports. These AI features are supplementary tools: their outputs may contain inaccuracies and must not be treated as medical or nutritional advice. Photos and log summaries sent for AI analysis are processed transiently and are not stored server-side — see the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Account and data ownership

BiteSafe does not require you to create an account. You own all data you enter into the app. Your meal logs, symptom records, profiles, and photos are stored locally on your device, and we claim no rights to your personal data. You can export your data as CSV or PDF, or delete it, at any time from within the app.

6. Subscription terms (BiteSafe Premium)

• Plans. BiteSafe Premium is offered as an auto-renewable monthly subscription (no free trial) and an auto-renewable annual subscription that includes a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is always shown in the app and on the App Store before you purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, you will be charged for the same period each cycle through your Apple ID.
• Free trial. If you start the annual plan's 7-day free trial and do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins and you are charged. Any unused trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime via App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy. Submit requests at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Pricing changes. If subscription pricing changes, we'll notify you before renewal as required by the App Store. Cancelling the subscription is enough to decline the new price.
• Free tier. Core meal and symptom tracking features are free and remain available for as long as you wish to use the free tier.

7. Intellectual property

The BiteSafe app, its icon designs, interface, and the "BiteSafe" name are owned by OzTech App Studio. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes; copying, distributing, or commercially exploiting app content is prohibited. Your own logs and exported reports are yours.

8. Disclaimer of warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Within legal limits, we are not liable for health decisions made based on information displayed in the app, nor for errors, interruptions, or data loss. In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

9. Unacceptable use

• Reverse-engineering or attempting to bypass the app's protections
• Embedding the app or its content in another product
• Using the app's AI features for purposes other than personal food and symptom tracking
• Using the app for harassment or illegal purposes

10. Suspension of access

If we detect use that violates the terms above, we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently suspend your access to the app. In such cases, your existing subscription fee may not be refunded.

11. Governing law

Disputes related to these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye and resolved in the courts of Istanbul.

12. Updates

When the terms are materially changed, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be refreshed. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
