1. The licence — Apple’s standard agreement
Your use of This or That is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The terms below add to it and describe how this particular app works.
2. What the app does
You add two photos, tap the occasion, and the app returns a decision: which of the two wins, how clear the call is, four reasons with a score for each, and the one condition under which the other one would have won. That is the whole product. It does not manage a wardrobe, build outfits, or link to anywhere to shop.
3. No account required
There is no sign-up. The app creates an anonymous session on your device. You are never asked for a name, an email or a phone number.
4. Age of use
This or That is intended for users aged 13 and over.
5. Free allowance and subscription
Every day you get one full decision, reasons included, at no cost. The winner of every further decision that day is still shown free; the reasoning behind it is what a subscription unlocks. A subscription is billed through your Apple ID, renews automatically, and can be cancelled at any time from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. If a free trial is offered, cancelling at least 24 hours before it ends means you are not charged. Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app before you buy.
6. What to expect from the answer — and what not to
The decision is an opinion produced by an AI model. It is deliberately decisive, because an answer that says “both are lovely” is the problem this app exists to solve. It is not professional styling advice, and it is not a statement of fact about you or about the items. Use it as a fast second opinion, not as an authority. We do not guarantee that two identical questions always produce an identical answer, though we work hard to keep them consistent.
7. What the app will not judge
This or That scores objects, never people. If a person appears in a photo, the analysis stays on the item. There is no attractiveness score, no body assessment, and no commentary on the person in the frame. This is a permanent design rule, not a setting.
8. Your responsibility for what you photograph
Only submit photos you have the right to submit. Do not submit images of other people without their agreement, and do not submit unlawful or sexual content. The app is for comparing items — clothing, shoes, bags, nails, hair, makeup, accessories and interiors.
9. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass the free allowance, automate requests, reverse-engineer the app, or use it in a way that degrades the service for others. We may limit or suspend access where use is abusive.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its design and its content belong to OzTech App Studio. Your photos remain yours; we claim no right over them and, as the privacy policy explains, we do not keep them.
11. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OzTech App Studio is not liable for purchasing decisions you make, for indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions to the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change and material changes will be surfaced in the app.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
